The Columnist

Kareen wrote her own Yoga column in the highly informative and enlightening "Common Ground" Magazine for nearly three years, from November 2002-2005.
This exemplary monthly publication can be found for free in libraries, community-centres, and health-food stores. It reports on issues of the greatest importance to dwellers upon this fragile earth -- if indeed we wish to hand it over to our children in good condition -- and concerns itself with all possible aspects of human health and welfare. Vital topics are not only handled with optimism and humour, but also with a realism that manages to alert us to "dangers" without hype or sentimentality.
Concerns include the environment (e.g. Dr. David Suzuki), political agendas of the moment, spiritual messages (e.g. from the Dalai Lama), Yoga's many branches, health and nutrition, various forms of fitness and sport, and a wealth of esoteric and other pertinent information.  Comments are from M.D.'s, N.D.'s, psycho-therapists, reviewers, trainers, nutritionists, philosophers (e.g. John Ralston Saul), film-critics, and many other sources handling issues of interest to the conscious "consumer" of our earth's hopefully sustainable resources.
